The Panpipes Flute Choir Louisville, KY Jean Hutchinson, Founder and Director
Founded in 1984 for the high school students of Ms. Hutchinson, the Panpipes Flute Choir is now a community ensemble of adults. The choir consists of many different types of flutes, from the traditional c flute and piccolo to alto, Eb and bass flutes. All these instruments give us a rich, full sound. We have played at the Central Ohio Flute Festival, Bellarmine University, the Louisville Slugger Museum, the Fraser History museum and the Kentucky Shakespeare Festiva, as well as church services, retirement centers and many other venues. We present regular programs at Eline library in St. Matthews.
Join us at our next performance!
Rehearsing and performing with us will develop your musical skills, especially sightreading. We play throughout the year, about 10 pieces per concert cycle and at least five different programs each year. We rehearse weekly and perform at a minimum of ten events a year. If you are a flutist with 3-4 years’ experience playing, come and join! Call me today for further information.
Events are better with live music
Planning your next party, festival or special event? A flute ensemble is the perfect choice for live music. We have a wide variety of music to select from: classical arrangements, popular music of all types, seasonal music and works composed exclusively for flute choir. We currently have around 20 members but can provide a smaller ensemble if you wish. Call or text today for further information.
