About Me
I am honored to be a native of Warrenville, IL, a suburb of Chicago. I completed my Bachelor of Music in flute performance and Master of Arts in music history from the University of Louisville. My passion for the flute led me to study with skilled musicians like Robert Cavally, Walfrid Kujala, and Katherine Borst Jones. Thanks to their guidance, I have grown tremendously as a musician.
Teaching Experience
As a flute instructor at Mel Owen Music in St. Matthews, I feel privileged to share my knowledge and expertise with students. I also teach music history at Jefferson Community & Technical College.
Over the years, I have taught flute and music history at Bellarmine University and music history at Elizabethtown Community & Technical College and the University of Louisville. In addition to teaching, I take pride in freelancing as a musician. I have had the pleasure of playing for the Louisville Chorus, Music Theatre Louisville, Derby Dinner Playhouse, and Louisville Ballet and have given numerous solo recitals throughout my career.
